What's Special
UC Berkeley (University of California, Berkeley) ranks in the top 20 among all universities in the United States (data sourced from U.S. News & World Report 2022-2023). It has produced over a hundred Nobel Prize laureates, which is a testament to Berkeley’s academic prestige and standing in the United States and around the world. Notably, the university had the first Chinese-American chancellor, Chang-Lin Tien, demonstrating Berkeley’s commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, which was ahead of many other universities.

About
UC Berkeley is the founding campus of the UC System, and it is the oldest and most prestigious research-oriented public university among the ten UC campuses. It holds an excellent reputation and tradition in various academic fields. It is not only known as a public Ivy but is also on par with UCLA. Its leadership position is second only after Harvard University, Princeton University, and Stanford University in national rankings.

Founded in 1868, UC Berkeley boasts three main libraries, 24 specialized libraries, and 11 affiliated libraries with a collection of over 10 million volumes.
