【Guaranteed Admissions into U.S. Top Schools】What is TAG?
TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee)
A 2+2 system that guarantees you admission into prestigious U.S. schools.
Brief Introduction
The commonly known 2+2 educational system, unique to the United States, is a guaranteed program provided by the California Department of Education since the 1980s for students studying at the California Community Colleges (CCC). TAG grants students who meet certain academic and performance standards an opportunity to directly apply and be admitted into the following six UC schools: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Merced, UC Riverside, and UC Santa Cruz. As for students with outstanding grades and performances, although there is no guaranteed admission, they can still apply to UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and their other dream schools.
Points to Note
TAG is exclusively applicable to students from CCC; students from community colleges in other states are not eligible.
TAG requires that at least 30 of the 60-semester units (equivalent to 45 units in the quarter system) completed by the students are from CCC, and the university you last attend must also be a CCC. For example:
